Payments

All orders are taken through the website, sorry we do not take any telephone orders.  We do not have the facilities to take payments over the phone.

We have two payment providers available, Sage Pay and PayPal both take the following cards:

Visa, Debit Card, MasterCard, Maestro Card, Visa, American Express, Electron, Euro Card or Delta. You can also pay using your Paypal account.

All transactions are processed using either Sage Pay or PayPals  secure server.

If using Paypal please note that they default the address of the cardholder as their 'Send to' address on their payment confirmation.  The actual delivery address will be that which you input at checkout.  You can view your order by going into your order history.

Receipts

Please note that no invoice or receipt is sent out with any purchase, no prices are include with our gifts, just a personal message if you request this, you will have the option to leave a personal message at the checkout.  This will be included on a small free gift tag or written in a greetings card if one is purchased.

Your order confirmations and parcel dispatch will come in the form of emails from ourselves and our payment providers.

Order Dispatch.

On the rare occasion that the item you have ordered is out of stock we will contact you by email within 24 hours to let you know an expected delivery date.

You will receive an email stating that preperation is in progress for your order or a pre-order preperation email for pre-orders.

We will email you when your order has been despatched.

Our normal despatch procedure (this does not include personalised items),

For Super Saver Delivery, Premium Delivery and Next Day Delivery

All orders placed before 2pm will normally be despatched the same day (Mon-Fri), order placed after 2pm will be dispatched the next working day (excluding Bank Holidays and Sundays).

All our nappy cakes, bouquets and balloons are made to order especially for you.

Packaging

All our gifts are send out well packaged to ensure they arrive in good condition.

Gifts are dispatched in plain boxes, this has been requested by many of our customers over the years.

Personal Messages

We offer a free personal message service on all our product except personalised items the gift wrapping and message option has to be paid for on personalised items.

Your personal message will be included on a small free gift tag.  For longer messages these will be printed on a plain card.

We have a large selection of Greetings cards if you prefer to send a card, we can include your personal message in the greetings card.

For personalised items you will need to select the gift wrapping and message option.  There is a cost to include a message on personalised items.

Delivery Options

All delivery prices quoted on the site are for UK delivery only.

This includes Northern Ireland but not the Republic of Ireland.

Delivery time scales are from the date of despatch.

Each product on the website has it own delivery cost for you to view in the 'Delivery Details' section. When you place an item in your cart the cost of Super Saver delivery will be added to your item(s), you make your choice for other delivery options at the checkout.

Our delivery partner is the Royal Mail.

We have  a selection of delivery options available.  Please ensure that you select the correct delivery option.  We cannot authorise parcels to be left outside due to the possibility of the parcel being damaged by weather conditions or stolen. At the Royal Mails discretion the parcel maybe left with a neighbour if requested but this is not guaranteed. Delivery is to the delivery address on the order not to a stated person.

Super Saver Delivery

Estimated delivery time 2-5 working days. This service is not tracked or signed for. A delivery date cannot be guraranteed with this service.

Premium Delivery

Estimated delivery time 1-2 working days, but this is not guaranteed. A signature is required in order for delivery to be made.

Guaranteed Next Day Delivery

(please see ordering cut off times for this service which are available to view on every product on the site) orders placed after the cut off time will be dispatched the next working day.

This service is fully tracked which enables you to follow your parcel through the delivery process. A signature is required upon delivery, parcels cannot be left without a signature. (Delivery Mon-Fri). Deliveries are made before 1pm.  Please note somebody must be available to sign for the delivery, if delivery is attempted and nobody is available to recieve/sign for the delivery, we cannot refund the postage cost.

Guaranteed Chosen Date Delivery.

There is a date picker at the checkout from which the delivery date can be selected.

This service is fully tracked which enables you to follow your parcel through the delivery process. A signature is required upon delivery, parcels cannot be left without a signature. (Delivery Mon-Fri). Deliveries are made before 1pm.  Please note somebody must be available to sign for the delivery, if delivery is attempted and nobody is available to receive/sign for the delivery, we cannot refund the postage cost.

Guaranteed Saturday Delivery.

(please see ordering cut off times for this service which are available to view on every product on the site) if your orders is placed after the cut off time on the Friday before the Saturday that you require delivery we will not be able to delivery on that Saturday.

This service is fully tracked which enables you to follow your parcel through the delivery process. A signature is required upon delivery, parcels cannot be left without a signature. (Delivery Mon-Fri). Deliveries are made before 1pm.

 

What happens if nobody is available to sign or accept delivery of the parcel.

If nobody is available to receive a guaranteed item then please follow the instructions on the card that will be left for redelivery. If delivery can not be made on a second attempt the same rules will apply as for Super Saver and Premium.

For Super Saver and Premium delivery if nobody is available to accept the parcel, a note will be left with instruction of where you can collect your parcel from.  The parcel will be held for 14 days, for you to collect it, after this time if the parcel has not been collected it will be returned to our warehouse.  We will contact you by email to let you know that the parcel has been returned to us.  There will be an additional charge for redelivery.  If we do not receive your instructions within 14 days, perishable item will be discarded. We are unable to refund your money on a perishable items.

Delivery to multiple addresses

We can send gifts directly to the recipient. At the checkout you will be given the option to choose where you want your gifts to be delivered to. The system will only allow you to choose one delivery address per order.  If you want to send different gifts to different addresses then you will need to place separate orders.

Stuffed Balloons/Helium Balloons

Sorry we only send balloons within the UK Mainland.

Disclaimer:  Third Party Carriers

The Unique Gift Store can not be held liable for delays in deliveries caused by third parties. We offer a choice of postage and will dispatch your parcel by your chosen method. Once your order has been despatched we will email you to let you know the time and date that the parcel was despatched and provide you with a tracking number if you have chosen a signed for service. It is then the responsiblity of our carrier (usually the Royal Mail) to carry out their contractual agreement to deliver the parcel by your chosen method.(see our terms and conditions section)

Balloons and Food Products - Due to the perishable nature of these items we can not accept returns.

If you are not entirely happy with one of our products, please contact us with your comments; we need to know where we can improve our service and products.

If you have a problem with any of our products please contact within 5 days and we will do all we can to put the problem right for you.

Cancellations

All our bouquets, nappy cakes and balloons are made to order. Once we send out a confirmation email to say we have received your order we start to handmake your order.  If we have handmade your order using perishable items and you wish to cancel we may charge a £10 cancellation fee to cover the cost of the perishable products and production time spent making your item to order.

Orders can be cancelled up to the point of us dispatching the order. Once your order has been dispatched it can not be cancelled. (see terms and conditions)

Complaints

At the Unique Gift Store we will look upon any complaint in a very positive light as it helps us to improve our service.
