The delivery price will depend on how many items purchased and delivery location.

Payments

All orders are taken through the website, sorry we do not take any telephone orders. We do not have the facilities to take payments over the phone.

We have two payment providers available, Stripe and PayPal both take the following cards:

Visa, Debit Card, MasterCard, Maestro Card, Visa, American Express, Electron, Euro Card or Delta. You can also pay using your Paypal account.

All transactions are processed using either Stripe or PayPals secure server.

If using Paypal please note that they default the address of the cardholder as their 'Send to' address on their payment confirmation. The actual delivery address will be that which you input at checkout. You can view your order by going into your order history.

Receipts

Please note that no invoice or receipt is sent out with any purchase, no prices are include with our gifts, just a personal message if you request this, you will have the option to leave a personal message at the checkout. This will be included on a small free gift tag or written in a greetings card if one is purchased.

Your order confirmations and parcel dispatch will come in the form of emails from ourselves and our payment providers.

Order Dispatch.

On the rare occasion that the item you have ordered is out of stock we will contact you by email to let you know an expected delivery date.

You will receive an email stating that preparation is in progress for your order or a pre-order preparation email for pre-orders.

We will email you when your order has been despatched.

All our nappy cakes, bouquets and balloons are made to order especially for you.

Packaging

All our gifts are send out well packaged to ensure they arrive in good condition.

Gifts are dispatched in plain boxes, this has been requested by many of our customers over the years.

Personal Messages

We offer a free personal message service on all our product except personalised items the gift wrapping and message option has to be paid for on personalised items.

Your personal message will be included on a small free gift tag. For longer messages these will be printed on a plain card.

We have a large selection of Greetings cards if you prefer to send a card, we can include your personal message in the greetings card.

For personalised items you will need to select the gift wrapping and message option. There is a cost to include a message on personalised items.

Our Delivery Partners are; Royal Mail and DPD

We have a selection of delivery options available. Please ensure that you select the correct delivery option. We cannot authorise parcels to be left outside due to the possibility of the parcel being damaged by weather conditions or stolen. However, certain delivery options may allow you to authorise with the delivery company for the parcel to be left in a safe place, please note this is at your own risk. At our delivery partners' discretion the parcel maybe left with a neighbour. Delivery is to the delivery address on the order not to a stated person. The delivery options displayed at the checkout are the options available for the product and delivery area selected.

DPD 2-4 Working Day 

This service is only offered for heavy items travelling to the Scottish highlands, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands

Estimated delivery time 2-4 working days, however this is not guaranteed. A tracked service with SMS/email updates. Order cut off time is 2pm. (Please note; that during busy periods when our production schedule is full the order cut off time may vary, please refer to the notices displayed at the checkout).

Please note; for this service you cannot choose a delivery date, orders will be sent out ASAP. All orders placed before 2pm (non-busy periods) Monday-Friday will be sent out the same day and delivery will be made an estimated 2-4 working days after this. Orders placed after 2pm will be sent out on the next working day.

Royal Mail Tracked 24 

Estimated delivery time 1-3 working days, however this is not guaranteed. A tracked service with SMS/email updates. Order cut off time is 2pm. (Please note; that during busy periods when our production schedule is full the order cut off time may vary, please refer to the notices displayed at the checkout).

Please note; for this service you cannot choose a delivery date, orders will be sent out ASAP. All orders placed before 2pm (non-busy periods) Monday-Friday will be sent out the same day and delivery will be made an estimated 1-3 working days after this. Orders placed after 2pm will be sent out on the next working day.

DPD/Royal Mail Preferred Date Delivery

When this option is selected there is a date picker at the checkout from which a preferred delivery date can be selected. Please see the date picker for available delivery dates.

This service is fully tracked with SMS/email updates. Proof of delivery will be obtained either via photo, GPS or signature. Delivery Monday-Friday only. Please note; somebody must be available to receive the delivery, if delivery is attempted and nobody is available to receive/sign for the delivery, we cannot refund the postage cost.

In the unlikely event that your item does not arrive on your preferred date please contact us and we will liaise with the carrier in question to locate the item and have it delivered as soon as possible. 

DPD/Royal Mail Saturday Delivery

Please see ordering cut off times for this service, if your orders is placed after the cut off time on the Friday before the Saturday that you require delivery we will not be able to delivery on that Saturday.

This service is fully tracked which enables you to follow your parcel through the delivery process. A signature is required upon delivery, parcels cannot be left without a signature. Please note somebody must be available to sign for the delivery, if delivery is attempted and nobody is available to receive/sign for the delivery, we cannot refund the postage cost.

In the unlikely event that your item does not arrive on your chosen date please contact us and we will liaise with the carrier in question to locate the item and have it delivered as soon as possible. 

What happens if nobody is available to sign or accept delivery of the parcel?

DPD

A text / email will be sent to the phone number / email address on the order stating when the parcel is due for delivery, if this date is not convenient or nobody will be in the text / email will give you a list of option to either change the date, leave with a neighbour, leave in a safe place (this is at your own risk) or take the item to a pick up shop.  IMPORTANT YOU MUST SELECT ONE OF THESE OPTION BEFORE DELIVERY OF THE PARCEL IS ATTEMPTED. Once DPD have attempted to deliver if nobody is available to accept the parcel then the parcel is automatically sent to the nearest collection shop for the recipient to collect. You cannot select any of the alternative delivery options once a delivery attempt is made.  DPD rules as of September 2021 are that the parcel automatically goes to a collection shop if nobody is available to accept the parcel (please note these are DPD's terms and conditions we have no control over this).

Royal Mail

A calling card will be left at the delivery address with instruction of how to arrange redelivery or alternatively where you can collect your parcel from. Please follow the instruction on the card to arrange this.

What if delivery can’t be made?

The parcel will be held by the carrier for a set period of time (please see carriers individual websites for details), to allow you to arrange collection. After this time if the parcel has not been collected it will be returned to our warehouse. We will contact you by email to let you know that the parcel has been returned to us. There will be an additional charge for redelivery. If we do not receive your instructions within 14 days, perishable item will be discarded. We are unable to refund your money on perishable or handmade items.

Incorrect Delivery Information

Please ensure the delivery address and information provided to us on your order is as accurate as possible, in the event that incorrect information has been provided your item's delivery maybe delayed or our carriers may be unable to deliver the item at all. Your order confirmation emails will include the delivery address provided to us and this information can also be viewed in your online account. 

Where your item has not yet been dispatched (given to our carrier) we are more than happy to amend any details, please contact us with your order number and any updated information and we will change this on your order.

Unfortunately once an item has been received by our carriers we are unable to update any order information, if the delivery attempt fails due to an incorrect delivery address we do not refund the postage.

Bank Holidays and Peak Times 

Unfortunately we are unable to deliver items on Bank Holidays and Sundays.

During busy periods (such as Christmas, Valentines and Mother’s Day) when our production schedule is full the order cut off time may vary, please refer to the notices displayed at the checkout during these periods for further details.

Delivery to multiple addresses

At the checkout you will be given the option to choose where you want your gifts to be delivered to. The system will only allow you to choose one delivery address per order. If you want to send different gifts to different addresses, then you will need to place separate orders. For bulk/corporate ordering please contact us.

Stuffed Balloons/Helium Balloons

Sorry we only send balloons within the UK Mainland.

Disclaimer: Third Party Carriers

The Unique Gift Store can not be held liable for delays in deliveries caused by third parties. We offer a choice of postage and will dispatch your parcel by your chosen method. Once your order has been despatched we will email you to let you know the time and date that the parcel was despatched and provide you with a tracking number if you have chosen a tracked service. It is then the responsibility of our carrier to carry out their contractual agreement to deliver the parcel by your chosen method.(see our terms and conditions section)

Balloons and Food Products - Due to the perishable nature of these items we can not accept returns.

If you are not entirely happy with one of our products, please contact us with your comments; we need to know where we can improve our service and products.

If you have a problem with any of our products please contact within 5 days and we will do all we can to put the problem right for you.

Cancellations

All our bouquets, nappy cakes and balloons are made to order. Once we send out a confirmation email to say we have received your order we start to hand make your order. If we have handmade your order using perishable items and you wish to cancel we may charge a £10 cancellation fee to cover the cost of the perishable products and production time spent making your item to order.

Orders can be cancelled up to the point of us dispatching the order. Once your order has been dispatched it can not be cancelled. (see terms and conditions)

Complaints

At the Unique Gift Store we will look upon any complaint in a very positive light as it helps us to improve our service.
